This tiny charmer derives its name from an 1890s bronze cash register whose elegance sets the tone for the café's offerings. Fennel and langoustine quiche, portobello, tomato and cilantro salad, jambon and Brie baguettes and rosemary roasted chicken are among some of their savory lunches, all of which are complimented by homemade lemonade, teas and desserts like lemon cake, apple brown betty, white chocolate and dried cherry cookies. You can take out the food, or, if you're lucky, find a seat and dine there.
