Antonio's Cucina Italiana Restaurant Review: The formula of notable fare at modest prices that has made other metro Detroit Antonio’s Cucinas into destination Italian restaurants has brought knowing diners to this location, too. The same menu prevails here as at the other outposts, but with an expanded by-the-bottle wine list. Enjoy the lightly crusted, olive oil-brushed bread as you choose from favorites like gnocchi with marinara sauce, made daily on the premises, along with the other pastas on the extensive menu. We always opt for a side of meatballs or sweet Italian sausage, but the veggie pizza and huge calzones are good options, too. Meals come with salad, and portions are so large we often share entrées. The eggplant Parmigiana also is a treat, and you can't go wrong with the signature dishes such as gnocchi in Rita sauce and chicken Antonio. |
