Antonio’s Cucina Italiana Restaurant Review: Run by Antonio Rugiero Jr., whose family has run Dearborn's Roman Village since 1964, Antonio’s Cucina Italiana offers huge portions of consistently satisfying Italian fare. Try the vegetarian pizza topped with cheese, peppers, onions, green olives, sliced tomatoes and Parmesan. Gnocchi pairs with marinara sauce and a side of house-made meatballs or sweet Italian sausage. (Pastas and gnocchi are made in the dining room's pasta booth.) Consider, too, the restaurant’s signature chicken Antonio, smothered in a creamy white sauce and finished with provolone. Hot, endless baskets of bread brushed with olive oil, as well as salad, come with entrées. An extensive wine list offers something for every palate and pocketbook with global selections, many from Italy. There’s a nice range of house wines by the glass, half carafe and carafe. Check out Antonio’s Reserve Private Collection, too. Beer choices include those imported and domestic.
