Applebee's is ideal for the family set, but grown-ups also feel welcome in its homey environs. The walls are adorned with memorabilia from nearby University of Nevada Las Vegas as well as items from other neighborhood schools. A colorful Tiffany-style lamp hangs over each table. The pub-style bar offers the usual cocktails and a line of signature drinks with names such as "Bananaberry Split" created with Captain Morgan spiced rum, bananas, strawberries, pineapple and coconut. You'll find imaginative salads such as the signature Oriental chicken, plus burgers including the bruschetta (with tomatoes and pesto) and sandwiches such as the honey barbecue chicken on a toasted sesame bun. Among steaks is the signature ten-ounce Bourbon Street with Cajun spices and sautéed onions and mushrooms served with garlic toast. The Weight Watchers menu (items range between two and 13 grams of fat) even includes a tortilla chicken melt. Save room for the blondie cake baked with pecans and topped with ice cream and maple butter sauce.
