| Insistence on pristine fresh fish and seafood keeps the bar at a high level at this snazzy restaurant with a decidedly Las Vegas-style décor. The lobster bisque is one of the highlights of this menu, and crab cakes are crab meat-rich and substantial enough for a light main dish if one adds a side or a salad. The grilled king salmon with bean ragoût on a yellow pepper coulis shows a deft treatment of the fish, and an appreciation for the legume-fin fish combination. Flavors are not a bit out of balance, allowing the fresh taste of the salmon to dominate the dish. If you want to spend ferocious money, there's caviar and topnotch Champagne to go with it, or go for the crab-stuffed whole lobster. There may not be regional dishes such as shrimp and grits (oh well), but the house-smoked Georgia trout does yield to regional tastes. The wine list ranges wide and deep, and is hefty in reds, the lighter of which would happily accompany a grilled fish item. But meat eaters will find steak, duck and chicken to satisfy their cravings. |
