It’s all about the sushi---the very best possible sushi, presented beautifully, that is---at this West Town Japanese from chef-partner B.K. Park (ex-Mirai, Aria Bar). The soothing setting starts with a moss garden, giving way to a sunny, atrium-style dining room with bamboo accoutrements. Sushi, maki and sashimi, though innovative, also prove delicate, as in truffle oil-scented “Secret Hamachi” sashimi with yellowtail and mushrooms. Even the ubiquitous spicy tuna gets an update, its fire added with chili oil. But the dish you will not want to miss is the togarashi-seared tuna with seaweed salad, kelp “noodles” and bright Meyer lemon dressing. The kitchen dishes by no means should be overlooked, especially the tender braised short ribs accented with pickled Asian pear. Opt for an omakase experience at the sushi bar.
