THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Aristocrat Restaurant Review:
Holland-born owner-operator Jan Leenders started his culinary career at age 18 traveling through Europe, Istanbul, Tokyo and Havana. He arrived in Las Vegas via San Antonio, Hawaiis Kahala Hilton and New Yorks Plaza. His 55-seat Aristocrat is the setting for power lunches and candlelight dinners appealing both to residents and visitors. Tiffany-style lamps hang from the ceiling; decorative documents and charts adorn the walls. Each table is set with a small, attractive lamp and a seasonal flower arrangement. The stylish cuisine matches Aristocrats elegance. Try the steamed black mussels appetizer with garlic and Chardonnay-tomato-butter sauce, or the black ravioli filled with lobster mousse topped with Parmesan cheese-Champagne sauce. Lobster bisque is a specialty for lunch and dinner. Savory main courses include the chicken Madeira topped with Black Forest mushrooms, and tournedos Neptune with crabmeat and bearnaise sauce. The bread pudding with Irish whiskey sauce is worth the splurge. The Aristocrat offers classic menus for special occasions such as a New Years Eve celebration with a menu replicating the SS Normandies 1938 New Years Eve gala featuring the favorite dishes of passengers Marlene Dietrich and Cary Grant.
