There’s a subtle unadorned design of this hip out-of-the-way trattoria that mimics the simply prepared food of the Italian Veneto region. Its hallmarks are seafood and fresh pasta prepared with relatively little fat and the freshest ingredients. Within the bright sienna-colored walls, diners can focus on the serious business of eating---except on a busy night, when the noise can be deafening. Lunch, on the other hand, tends to be a very civilized affair with City Hall officials and courthouse lawyers comprising most of the clientele. Dishes include the pan-seared sea scallops with mushroom risotto or a baked duck breast with black currants and cassis.
