 The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common’s upscale American bistro (in the space formerly occupied by Jer-Ne) has a modern interior with sumptuous white booths and dark wood walls. Comfort food with an upscale twist is the name of the game. Start with a dirty martini or glass of Pinot Grigio paired up with a crisp truffled mushroom flatbread with melted mozzarella and caramelized onions, before moving on to a Vermont cheddar burger or chicken potpie loaded with chicken, carrots and peas. We also suggest the steak frites topped with butter and accompanied by a side of béarnaise sauce. Daily specials range from whole grilled branzini, braised beef short rib and pork Milanese to duck confit pappardelle. Crème brûlée is a standout dessert. Service is attentive.
