This long-established spot changed its name from Continental Park Café to Artisan Restaurant, and expanded its dinner service. It's easy to satisfy the need for healthy or vegetarian dining, and Italian dishes are available too. Or you could spend a spring or fall afternoon sipping one of the milkshakes---try the cappuccino flavor---on the second-story balcony as you watch the trains come and go. The upstairs café also does nice salads, a good spanakopita and croissant sandwiches. While you'll find it handy when attending events at The Art Station nearby, you might want to linger to enjoy the music during dinner. Stone Mountain (the original name was New Gibraltar) sits at the foot of a large granite outcropping. Its small businesses retain a nineteenth-century charm. While the restaurant itself has no parking, there's plenty of municipal parking provided by the Village of Stone Mountain.
