The Ashburn Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant & décor: With the Fashion Outlets of Chicago and Donald E. Stephens Convention Center within walking distance, this hotel restaurant gets its share of local and tourist traffic. Named after Chicago's first airport, Ashburn Flying Field, the establishment is no sleepy hotel spot; its gastropub fare and generous portions could hold up against any city tavern.

Likes: Massive portions.
Dislikes: Wish the bar was more intimate, but the enormous space plays well to conventioneers and other professionals staying at the hotel.

Food & Drinks: Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night dining, the eatery is all about comfort. Think hunky burgers, bone-in pork chops, rotisserie chicken and wood-fired, hand-rolled pizza. For dessert, the impossibly gooey bourbon and chocolate bread pudding and the creamy Strawbird cheesecake are worth the extra calories. A plus for the endless breakfast buffet, which is always being replenished with yogurt parfait, fresh fruit, eggs, sausage and the works. An extensive wine list makes room for decent picks from Justin, Seaglass, Duckhorn and La Crema.
