| Despite its slightly dog-eared appearance in a shopping square, this remarkable little place serves some of the best and freshest Greek food around, some of which is actually cooked before your eyes over a charcoal fire, with the resultant full-flavored meats. In addition, the portions are immense, making this doubly attractive; you’ll probably take home enough for a second meal. Where to begin? Grilled chicken, for one, and grilled pork or lamb kebabs, for another. Start off with the feta or spinach pie, and end with the first-class baklava. The extensive menu does include a few American dishes, such as chicken tenders and a grilled Caesar salad, plus hot dogs for the kiddies, but by and large, Athens Grill lives up to its name. |
