Openings

Richard Blais and his high-toned burger team have opened the second Atlanta location of FLIP burger boutique (a FLIP opened earlier this year in Birmingham, Ala.). FLIP is famous for its milkshakes, its use of foie gras in both milkshakes and burgers, and its tony takes on the classic American two-hander. Besides beef, some of the FLIP burgers will be vegetarian, while others will focus on seafood. Lunch & Dinner daily. FLIP burger boutique, Tuxedo Festival Shopping Center, 3655 Roswell Rd., Atlanta, GA 30342, 404-549-3298.

Closings

CLOSED FOR GOOD

Apparently desiring to focus on his YEAH! BURGER operation, which is slated to open a new location soon in Virginia Highland, Shaun Doty had planned to shutter his highly regarded Shaun's restaurant in Inman Park in December. But unexpectedly after dinner service on Wednesday, October 27, he closed the restaurant. Fans hoping to have another opportunity to savor those duck-fat-cooked fries must be sorely disappointed. Shaun's, 1029 Edgewood Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30307, no phone.

Following a brief run (only a few months), the Fifth Street Café that opened in place of struggling Eno now has closed as well. Fifth Street CafĂ©, 800 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta, GA 30308, no phone.
