Classic all-American comfort food such as chicken potpie is served up alongside well prepared Northwest fare and a weekly selection of fresh fish at this University Village Shopping Mall eatery. The breakfast menu offers favorites such as flapjacks, granola, egg rumbles and omelets. Lunch brings on salads (don't miss the Village Cobb), burgers, fresh-cut fries plus dynamite sandwiches, including a searing pulled pork barbecue sandwich and a more refined portobello pesto sandwich. At dinnertime, savor crispy crab cakes in curried aïoli or wood-grilled pork chops in rosemary-scented gravy. Comfortable, private booths make up most of the seating for the weary shoppers and staff and faculty from the nearby University of Washington. On weekends, when families abound, the decibel level can be quite loud.
