| Though the Atomic Grill is not for snooty culinarians, it's a solid place to get New Mexican basics: think loaded burritos, nachos and fish tacos---easily the tastiest choice on the menu. It's a classic Santa Fe establishment, whereby you can roll in anytime before 3 a.m., grab a beer (there are more than 100 offered) and witness teens dressed to the nines after high school dances, older couples gussied up after the opera and black-clad, twenty-something college students canoodling in the corner. If dinner is already a distant memory, the Atomic is full of decadent desserts like carrot cake and well-made espresso drinks. Breakfast is served all day, although the crowd won't be as eclectic and varied as it is after midnight. |
