| With its vantage point on the corner of a busy street of shops and boutiques, Audrey Claire becomes the site of major people-watching on warm days, when the large windows are thrown open. Mediterranean cuisine with hints of Northern Africa and the Middle East is served in the airy, bare bones room. Patrons consume, with obvious enthusiasm, flatbreads fit for sharing, large platters of assorted meze (the seared Brussels sprouts with shaved Parmesan is a standout) and dishes such as grilled rosemary and lime tiger shrimp skewers with pineapple, watermelon and basil salsa. Bring a bottle of wine, some cash, and be prepared to wait for a table on the weekend. |
