Well, look a bit further and you'll hit upon spicy Jamaican jerk pork chop, Cajun-style jambalaya, sesame-crusted albacore with ponzu sauce, and basil linguine with tomatoes and garlic---even an all-American meatloaf. If there's anyplace in Los Angeles that's a true reflection of the city's incredible cultural diversity, it's Authentic Café. And this eclectic mix of chef-owner Roger Hayot is a winner with staying power---the moderately priced eatery has seen dozens of neighboring restaurants along Beverly Boulevard come and go, and, after all these years, there's still often a wait at the door.
