This is a quintessential neighborhood restaurant. Weekend brunch runs from lox and bagels to huevos rancheros. At dinner, the old-fashioned iceberg-lettuce salad is topped with creamy blue-cheese dressing, the grilled skirt steak comes with red-chile onion rings, clouds of garlic mashed potatoes and blanched vegetables. Hearty desserts include warm bread pudding with hot fudge sauce. Note the welcoming stack of coloring books for the kids.
