THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED 9021Pho Restaurant Review:
This contemporary Vietnamese restaurant also has a location in Beverly Hills, hence the zippy name. Naturally, the noodle soup called pho, practically a national dish, is available here in reasonably generous bowls. It can be loaded up with meatballs, fish balls, tofu or chicken. There’s also an interesting sweet-and-sour variation with seafood, pineapple, lemon grass and tamarind. Entrées from chef/owner Kimmy Tang (L.A.’s now-defunct Michelia) include star anise-scented salmon or curry chicken, preceded by spring rolls, steamed shrimp dumplings, miniature pork bao or various salads. Finish with mango sorbet before heading out with a few stains on your shirt. Also located at 490 N. Beverly Dr., Beverly Hills, 310-275-5277.
