About the restaurant: Michael Schlow’s Italian trattoria in the Mt. Vernon neighborhood focuses on simple fare from Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna and the Piedmont areas. Its casual setting reflects the overall simplicity of the venue and menu, with a large pizza oven quite visible from the limited seating spaces.
Food & Drinks: Start with assorted antipasti, the most delightful of which is the prosciutto with fig compote and crostini. If you add on the salad with the creamy burrata spiked with truffles and with arugula, you will find it a standout choice. Dinners will present entrées including roasted branzino and chicken with lemon and garlic. Choose from a Nutella tart, house-made gelati and tiramisu for dessert. The restaurant has an extensive wine list and assorted specialty cocktails. Happy hour and late-night menus are available.
