Arnold Palmer's Restaurant Restaurant Review:

Arnold Palmer’s legacy lives on inside his namesake restaurant near Old Town La Quinta, just a golf ball-toss from some of the area’s best golf courses. It has the feel of being at an exclusive clubhouse with the bar assuming the role of the 19th hole. The menu features aged beef, fresh seafood and vegetarian selections that make this an upscale dining experience. There are comfort foods, too, such as meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy or buttermilk-fried chicken, as well as more contemporary offerings like baked crêpes with wild mushrooms, marinara and ricotta. The BLT salad tastes just like the sandwich, sans the bread. The 30-ounce “king's cut” porterhouse steak is designed for two (even three could share this generous slab of beef), and comes with sautéed mushrooms and lobster pasta. There's plenty of beer on tap, wines by the glass or bottle, and a full range of spirits. Desserts, perhaps fried rice pudding arancini, pair nicely with one of the ports.
