THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Art's Cafe Restaurant Review:

This unlikely holdout near the rapidly gentrifying corner of 9th and Irving spins out cheap, fast standards to a strictly local crowd over a postcard-covered counter with just 15 stools. Laminated menus tell a familiar story: omelets, sandwiches and burgers, with a side of strong coffee or iced Coca-Cola. But those in the know come for the toasty “sandwich” of folded hash browns stuffed with melted cheese and juicy Korean bulgogi. Lunchers may also discover one of the cheapest bibimbaps in the city, and we suggest requesting a side of savory gochujang. Not to be dismissed is the weekday breakfast special of eggs, pancakes and bacon or sausage: at $5.15, it is one of the most inexpensive fills in the city. Bring cash.
