Atrio Wine Bar Restaurant Restaurant Review:

Overlooking Battery Park City, Atrio offers New American and Italian fare in a spacious and minimalist but stylish setting on the second floor of the Conrad New York hotel. Flanked by windows along the length of the restaurant, Atrio is bright, airy and affords diners a view of the park and Hudson River. Prosciutto and melon is a refreshing appetizer option in summer. Stone-fired pizzas are more noteworthy, such as the lamb sausage, goat cheese and mint pesto combination. Among the entrées, the baked organic chicken is prepared country style and paired with black kale and five-cheese polenta; the chicken was tender but the flavor would have benefited from a slightly stronger marinade. A glass of Morinello Prosecco (although a tad overpriced) pairs nicely with the prosciutto and the pizzas.
