Au Boeuf Couronne Restaurant Review:

The kingdom of meat is here, in front of the ancient Halle de la Villette where butchers and horse dealers used to meet. Likewise, this brasserie is also a vestige of a bygone era. The stone floor and the woodwork date from the Belle Époque, and on the walls are paintings of farmers and a plate that reads: "La Bidoche, club of friendship between cattle dealers and surgeons, 1931." À la carte beef is everywhere. The restaurant delivers sirloin, rump steak, rib steak with chopped parsley, hanger steak with caramelized shallots and a generous portion of Chateaubriand, paired with sauce and tantalizing "pommes soufflées." First, you can cut your teeth on a marrow bone and, if you are not too much riveted to the ground after your meal, you should try the "all chocolate" dessert, namely a quenelle, a profiterole and a cake. To crown it off, the selection of wines valiantly matches the fare.
