THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bangkok City Restaurant Review:

Bangkok City’s interior recalls a Buddhist temple with its hand-carved antique benches, emotive royal blue walls and gilded artifacts. Waitstaff don formal attire, but are approachable in attitude, and crackerjack at communication. The menu offers the usual suspects like fried Bangkok wings, beef satay skewers served with peanut sauce, and shrimp tempura. Try the tod mun, ground fish blended with curry paste, eggs, lime leaves and beans, and then fried. We also recommend the jungle curry with bamboo shoots, corn, mushrooms, green beans, red peppers and basil leaves. Chef specialties include a crispy half duck, scallop delight and shrimp paradise. Pad thai dishes are available for those who prefer something traditional. The dessert menu is varied, with selections such as sweet taro custard; coconut, ginger or green tea ice cream; and a fried banana. We can’t get enough of the deep-fried ice cream topped with honey syrup and sesame seeds.
