Benkay Restaurant Review:

Unexpectedly set in the modern Novotel on the banks of the Seine, this upper-tier Japanese is best known for its teppanyaki, a stir-fry cooked on tables fitted with burners. The lunch menu is a good bet, including grilled vegetables and shrimps with zabaione perfumed with yuzu; tempuras; Black Angus beef with soya shoots and sautéed rice; and flambéed pancake with caramel ice cream and bananas. Skillfully sliced sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh and best accompanied by one of several sakés proposed on the separate saké menu. Prices are high but the enchanting view of the Seine makes this venue perfect for an important business dinner or a special occasion.
