THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bianca Restaurant Review:

Bianca is a quaint shabby-chic Italian eatery offering Emiglia-Romagna-inspired cuisine and warm service. Outfitted with exposed brick, clean white tiles, candlelit tables and antique floral plates, the restaurant makes diners feel at home (that is, if one has a penchant for high noise levels). The classic regional menu presents reasonably priced dishes such as lasagna with layers of rich béchamel and hearty meat sauce; brodetto di pesce, a stew of Adriatic fish and shellfish; and the straccetti di manzo, a thin, pan-seared filet mignon with rosemary. Starters include the gnocco fritto, fried puffy dough rectangles with imported cold cuts or stracchino cheese; sauté di cozze, mussels sautéed with white wine and garlic; and carciofi fritti, fried baby artichoke with crispy parsley. Try the tiramisu or the torta di ricotta, a silky ricotta cheesecake, for dessert. Like its sister restaurant Celeste on the Upper West Side, Bianca touts an all-Italian wine list. As the restaurant does not take reservations, when there's a wait, guests are directed next door to the lounge VON to have a drink while waiting for a table.
