Blistered, thin-crust pizzas are the star at the second outpost of this lively restaurant. Authentic ingredients such as house-made mozzarella, 00 flour and San Marzano tomatoes go into making each pie, served steaming straight out of the wood-burning oven. But the restaurant offers way more than just pizza. Grilled baby octopus is a stand-out starter with a touch of char from the grill, mixed with cipollini onions in a tangy vinaigrette. Beet salad sports crunchy roasted hazelnuts and creamy sheep’s milk feta on organic greens, while fettuccine Bolognese tastes as if somebody’s Italian granny is behind the stoves. A classic chicken piccata hits all the right notes and sides such as truffle mac ‘n’ cheese or roasted butternut squash with sage butter and brown sugar guarantee diners won’t leave hungry. Desserts are seasonal: try the warm apple and olive oil cake with vanilla gelato and caramel sauce.
