The Botanist Restaurant Review:

The Botanist occupies a good-size room with a wall at the back of glass panels depicting flora, fauna, crustaceans and the like in an homage to the local eighteenth-century botanist Sir Hans Sloane, who gave his name to the area. The setting suits the clientele who come here for a thoroughly satisfying meal: breakfast, an eleven o’clock snack, light lunch, afternoon tea or full-fledged dinner. And very good it is too, hitting all the right modish notes from morning free-range eggs on toasted sourdough to the likes of Wiener Schnitzel or roast whole Suffolk poussin with pancetta and Caesar salad. Theatre-goers pile in for a meal before going to the Royal Court Theatre; the luvvies pop in afterwards. It’s elegant dining from Tom and Ed Martin, the brothers famous for their gastropubs including The Gun and The White Swan. Pre-theatre menu daily 5.30pm-7.15pm 2 courses £21, 3 courses £26.
