THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Brasserie Max & Julie Restaurant Review:

Brasserie Max & Julie, situated in the Museum District, is a charming, authentic French eatery serving up traditional fare prepared with products from local markets and farms and complemented by a more-than-decent French wine list. The daily lunch specials, like the coq au vin on Thursdays, are a fun and reasonably priced way to sample French staples. We like to start dinner with the os à moelle, roasted bone marrow sprinkled with Guérande sea salt, before tucking into boeuf bourguignon or a traditional cassoulet, both with a side of frites. A nice Louis Jadot red pairs well with both dishes. And while we enjoy ending the meal with a cheese plate, we don’t often turn down the floating island: sugary meringue in a pool of crème anglaise. Weekend brunch is all about eggs, crêpes and lots of Champagne.
