With a good number of vegetarian options and many popular Chinese American dishes, Chin Chin has a loyal following. The chain does tasty Chinese cuisine at reasonable prices, but consistency can be an issue. While most dishes are familiar kung pao this and that or moo shu (name your filling), there are some chef specials on the lengthy menu. The hot appetizers are lovely for sharing, including the salt-and-pepper calamari and the soft-shell crabs. The cold noodles with hot sesame sauce make a lively counterpoint to more mild dishes, adding another dimension to a meal. Chef's specials include such unusual items as Taiwanese chicken (a casserole with vegetables in a hot pot). Service is friendly and swift, and delivery service within a limited range is available.
