Churrascos Restaurant Review:

The original outpost of Michael Cordúa's empire has undergone a makeover, the result of which is a more modern space. Likewise, the menu has also been updated by Cordúa, but not to worry: the signature churrasco, a charcoal-grilled center-cut beef tenderloin, butterflied in jelly-roll fashion and basted with chimichurri sauce, is still the star attraction. Meals start with endless plantain chips and sauce, plus appetizers. Try the spicy Peruvian lobster and shrimp bisque or the meat-filled empanadas. Besides the steak, there are more seafood options, including opereta de mariscos, a platter of grilled lobster, shrimp, jumbo lump crab meat and the catch of the day, served with jasmine rice and ajillo sauce. Add a bottle of chilled Château Miraval rosé and finish with the sweet and spongy tres leches cake. Good weather makes the vine-covered patio a romantic spot for dining. It's worth making a reservation for the popular weekend brunch, an all-you-can-eat buffet of Latin steaks and omelets, plus a bagel bar and more.
