Coquette Brasserie Restaurant Review:

Coquette looks, sounds and smells like a typical lively Rive Gauche brasserie. Bentwood chairs, tile floors in the main dining space and Edith Piaf singing in the background create the classic bistro mood. Choose from a traditional French menu featuring such dishes as escargots with garlic-parsley butter, salade niçoise, onion soup, beef bourguignon, croque monsieur and madame, steak frites, and lamb cassoulet --- all prepared by chef Paul Gagne. Home-style French desserts include such old favorites as clafoutis with fruits of the season, chocolate bread pudding and profiteroles. The wine list is in sync with the menu, offering labels from every grape-growing region in France. Ever wanted to explore the real world of Beaujolais? Here's a list with depth in the subject. Even Chinon and Bourgueil from the Loire Valley are well represented. Several selections are available, bistro-style, in economical half-liter carafes.
