Cyclo Restaurant Review:

Those who know and love Vietnamese cuisine frequent Cyclo as do neophytes who don't know the first thing about pho, cha gio or nuoc mam. That's because owner and menu designer Justina Duong acts as a goodwill ambassador for her country, bringing her guests little tastes of this or that and urging them to try something new. With so many accessible possibilities, it's always an inviting prospect: tiny pork short ribs glazed with sweet soy-based sauce; shrimp and papaya salad; meat and vegetable stir-fry (called pho ap chao) seasoned with oyster sauce and served with fried rice cakes. After more than 12 years in business, it’s not as shiny and as exciting as in the eatery’s heyday, but still, everything at Cyclo is fresh and appealing. In fact, nothing misses here, including the service, which is speedy, especially considering the rush at both lunch and dinner.
