D'Amato's Restaurant Review:

The trendy Royal Oak crowd often meets to eat at this convivial dining spot with funky lighting and a mix of cushioned kitchen chairs. When they’ve sated their appetites, they spill into the adjacent Goodnight Gracie’s martini bar for a cigar and a little night music. The smell of baking bread alone lures sidewalk strollers into this welcoming bistro. But they also come for the pastas, from creamy marinara-sauced ravioli to penne with roasted potatoes. The menu may also include swordfish with a roasted beet risotto and mahi mahi with sweet potato purée and sautéed Brussels sprouts. Sunday brunch lasts until 3 p.m. (then dinner service begins). Brunch items include smoked salmon, prime rib, omelets, crab cakes and chicken and waffles. Also on the weekends, D'Amato's Bar is open until 2 a.m., making it the perfect place to sip one of the dessert-in-a-cup libations, such as the Chocolate Almond with Disaronno Amaretto, Godiva chocolate liqueur, coffee, whipped cream and maraschino cherry.
