Darya Kabob Restaurant Review:


Without a doubt, this Persian eatery has figured out the best way to turn a kabob into designer food. That is, the cook takes chicken, ground beef, lamb or beef tenderloin (vegetables, too) and transforms each into nicely seasoned skewered and grilled meats, served on freshly made pita or over Persian rice. But that’s not all. The kitchen offers daily Persian specials, from the lush and unusual zereshk polo rice dish studded with barberries and cranberries to the stew-like khoresht gheymeh with yellow split peas, beef and spices atop a mound of rice. Hummus, grilled tomatoes, and a shirazi salad of diced cucumbers, tomatoes and onions are among sides. Desserts include honey-drenched baklava.
