THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED DESTINO latin bistro/pisco bar Restaurant Review:

Chef James Schenk, a former manager of Zuni Café with Peruvian roots, turns out authentic “platos” such as an array of ceviches like ahi with avocado, mango and achiote oil. There are house-made empanadas (the pork version is the best) and arepas: warm cornmeal cakes filled with Fontina. Try the skewers of beef heart and chips made with yucca and sweet potatoes. Peruvian chilies appear frequently on the menu --- rocoto and aji amarillo turn up in many dishes and add a nice kick of heat. Larger platos present inventive preparations of sea bass, chicken or sirloin steak. Save room for the famous alfajores, and don't skip ordering a Pisco Sour. The space feels exotic and cozy, from the brightly colored walls to the large gold-framed mirrors and enormous chandelier. A good destination for larger groups. Note: DESTINO and Pisco Latin Lounge have merged.
