THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Dick & Jenny's Restaurant Review:

Dick & Jenny’s is housed in an Uptown Creole cottage that's more than a century old. The place was named after its original owners, who perfected their own brand of Creole cooking. Current owners M. Cristiano Raffignone and Kelly Barker, proprietors of Cristiano's Ristorante in Houma, achieved a smooth transition and retained the customer base by offering some of the founders’ most popular dishes plus creative additions. Fried oysters with rémoulade and coleslaw, garlicky escargots in a bread bowl, and a tender, slow-roasted pork loin with goat cheese and pine nuts are among the high points. If you’re looking for an authentic bouillabaisse, look no further. Desserts are just as comfort-minded, especially the locally made Creole Creamery ice cream. Dick & Jenny’s menu fairly begs for a full-bodied, buttery Chardonnay, which you will find on the list. A homey aura is evident throughout the restaurant, from the covered back patio annex with porch swings to the collection of hand-painted plates decorating the dining room and the bargeboard exterior. On the right night, the sound of nearby freight trains and river traffic can complete the spell of rural relaxation.
