Dog Days Hot Dogs & Burgers Restaurant Review:

In a brightly lit space festooned with a Georgia Bulldogs banner and an American flag, and walls peppered with a variety of visual embellishments, Todd Edge and Greg Vizzini specialize in hot dogs and burgers. Hot dogs come in two sizes and burgers in sizes ranging from four to 12 ounces. We like the Georgia Dog (grilled onions, 'que sauce and sweet slaw) and the chili cheese dog. Turkey, beef and veggie dogs are available. Buns are steamed, which makes holding them a bit messy. We also suggest the house-made potato chips, which come hot in a basket and snap to the bite. These are better than the ones at some highfalutin restaurants. Burgers are cooked fresh to order and similarly come in a variety of finishes. For dessert, the house-made Coca-Cola chocolate cake --- a nearly iconic Southern treat --- is a worthy wrap-up. Edge and Vizzini are proud of their Coca-Cola barbecue sauce, served on pulled pork. Polish and Italian sausages and a Philly cheese steak are options.
