Don Antonio Trattoria Restaurant Review:
This romantic spot in the Ark Row section of Tiburon is one of Marin’s gems. The menu is a greatest hits of traditional Italian specialties done with a skilled hand --- pastas, such as the lush gnocchi with Bolognese sauce, are especially sumptuous. Seafood preparations are plentiful and vibrant, as with the garlicky seafood served with angel hair pasta. Favorites include chicken cooked under a brick, and veal or chicken Marsala or saltimbocca. Desserts are a high point; save room for the limoncello tartufo, chocolate mousse or spumoni with Amarena cherries. Service is impeccable with attention paid to every detail without it being invasive. Owner Antonio Volpicelli operates a second Don Antonio Trattoria location in downtown Larkspur (455 Magnolia Ave., 415-924-3332).
