It's hard to say whether the quaint setting or big burgers are the prime draw at Duane's. Burgers come in a range of preparations with the quarter-pounder teriyaki burger a favorite, topped with lettuce, tomato, mayo, homemade teriyaki sauce and whatever else you want. Add cheese, avocado or sprouts, and then see whether you can get your mouth around it all. Fish and veggie burgers are also available, and the onion rings are a tasty side. As for seating, there are picnic tables under a Poinciana tree if you don't mind wild chickens and cats begging for handouts. This is no quick-stop; expect to wait 30 to 45 minutes for your meal at lunchtime. Parking can be challenging as Duane's shares a small, busy lot with the Whaler’s convenience store and the Anahola Post Office.
