E + O Food and Drink Restaurant Review:

Rodelio Aglibot (Sunda) is elevating eats in the far north ’burbs with this catchall Asian, Italian and American concept that --- more often than not --- works. Take the lollipop-fashioned chicken wings, all dressed up with sweet heat, as one example. The Filipino-style adobo pork belly is another. Of course, the Argentinean rib-eye, served with a fried egg, paprika-cumin potatoes and chimichurri, is a crowd-pleaser as well. Ditto the Skuna Bay salmon, offset by fried capers and tomato-shallot jam. There’s a lineup of nigiri, raw bar selections and gussied-up maki, too. For dessert, you’ll want “The Ridiculous,” ice cream wrapped in ginger-laced carrot cake with walnuts, caramel sauce and whipped cream cheese. A small selection of specialty cocktails, wines and beers gets the job done.
