This pretty French restaurant set on the ground floor of one of Leesburg’s old homes looks like a cross between a Victorian tearoom and a private dining room. The kitchen serves classic French fare: tender lamb stew with baby carrots, sweet peas and blanched radishes. You can start with a vegetable and goat cheese salad or fresh marinated salmon, move on to sea scallops with a purée of celeriac or poached chicken breast with a vegetable medley, then conclude with house-made pastries or a very smooth crème brûlée. The kitchen offers a quick lunch menu that includes the lamb stew. The restaurant charms, a perfect special-occasion destination.
