EL Ideas Restaurant Review:


A sense of whimsy prevails at Phillip Foss’ restaurant, featuring just a few in-demand tables. The brick-walled space, done up with white tablecloths, is at once low-key and artsy, tucked away and talked about. The BYO place serves elegant, funky meals in prix-fixe fashion. Molecular gastronomy techniques pop up in courses like a take on nachos with A5 Wagyu, black bean and avocado. You might also encounter signature dishes such as potato, leek, vanilla french fries and ice cream, or a mashup of lamb wellington and onion soup. A meal might end on a sweet note with cherries, cake, chocolate and sabayon earl grey.
