Fiorella's Jack Stack Barbecue Restaurant Review:

When it comes to Kansas City-style barbecue, Jack Fiorella and his family have it down. With this location on the Country Club Plaza, the clan makes sure that tourists who flock to the shopping and dining destination don't leave hungry. The cavernous, upscale-masculine restaurant boasts wood-fired grilling equipment that makes way for the smoky grub. The battered, fried onion rings --- served on a copper and marble skewer --- are required eating, while the Poor Russ sandwich, a mess of chopped pork piled on a bun, is one of the best sandwiches in town. For an adventure in dining --- and guaranteed leftovers --- order the crown prime rib of beef. And the beans, cooked in the oven where meat juices run into the pot, are legendary. Barbecue aficionados know to dunk the french fries into the beans for a real treat. Even desserts are special, including the crème brûlée and fluffy bread pudding. There's a notable wine list, too.
