THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Fiorentino’s Cucina Italiana Restaurant Review:
Warm wood floors and earth-toned walls dotted with pictures of folks from the Old Country create a friendly feel at this family-run trattoria with thoroughly rustic food --- arancini, steamed mussels in garlic-lemon broth --- that's down-home good. And while nothing deviates too far from the norm, the crispy calamari; pillowy, tomato cream-sauced gnocchi; and prosciutto- and provolone-filled filet spiedini are immensely comforting. Simple preparations extend to eggplant Parmesan, pappardelle topped with Bolognese sauce and penne arrabbiata specked with pancetta. For dessert, try the light, house-made tiramisu. Consider coming on Sundays, when a family-style supper for two or more is a steal at $23.95. Servers are welcoming, knowledgeable and passionate about the food. The side patio is a nice place to enjoy a glass of wine on a balmy evening.
