THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Foster Burger Restaurant Review:

Almost everyone likes a burger, but even skeptics will be intrigued by Foster Burger's outside-the-box takes on putting a patty into a bun. The standard hand-ground beef with lettuce, house-made pickles, "Foster sauce" and onions is tasty enough, but switch to a fluffy brioche bun baked by An Xuyen Bakery next door, plus add-on's (at additional cost) to seriously raise the bar. Non-beef eaters may choose turkey, lamb or surprisingly good hemp veggie burgers. The Kiwi combines a lamb burger with cheddar, pickled beets, egg, mayo, lettuce, pickles and onions. Sides are also a cut above. A wedge salad is adorned with pork belly and herbal green goddess dressing. Fry preparations range from trendy and caloric poutine (a Quebecoise favorite) of gravy-topped crunchy cheese curds, to a "black and white" version with Parmesan, truffle oil and homemade squid ink aïoli. Order a quirky cocktail (Jameson and pickle juice, anyone?) or choose a beer or old-fashioned chocolate malt. Oversize booths will hide any overindulgence, or snag a comfortable seat on the heated patio. Old concert posters are wall candy, and may remind some patrons of their glorious youth at venues like La Luna and Satyricon.
