The Golden Hind Restaurant Review:

This inestimable fish 'n' chips shop was first opened in 1914. Sadly, after a fire some years ago, it no longer use its glorious ’50s fryers that make up one wall of the restaurant, preferring instead to do the cooking in the back room. But, arguably, the fish 'n' chips are even better than they were and the cod is definitely the favourite. Don't expect any frills, just bring a healthy appetite---the portions are generous. It's unlicensed, but there are two good wine shops within 50 yards and there's no corkage charge.
