Brenda Moore's Good Karma Coffee House is a certified gluten-free environment. Daughter Sharonda Frazier developed many of the recipes; Moore is responsible for the brownie recipe, which she says took about a year to perfect. A bakery as well as a breakfast and lunch establishment, it offers vegan options, too. The team's goal is for items not only to be healthy but also flavorful. We especially admire the biscuits. Get a good omelet, wheat-free french toast, pancakes or a waffle in the morning, and return for a grilled cheese sandwich or soup and salad come afternoon. For the waffle and pancakes, the tables hold maple syrup and agave. Sweet tooth requirements are ably met, so examine the display case. Fair trade Counter Culture coffee is a good beverage choice, but there are teas, smoothies and other non-alcoholic selections.
