About the restaurant: Gotham Bar & Grill was a mainstay of the New York dining scene for more than 30 years. Now, the downtown power spot has returned with new owners, an abbreviated moniker and a redesign from James Biber, the same architect who worked on the original with its soaring ceilings, billowy light shades and casually airy feel.
Food & Drinks: On the menu you may find such dishes as foie gras mousse with quince, baumkuchen and pistachio; halibut with Riesling sauce, artichoke and salsify; and lamb with citrus emulsion, endive, cipollini and onion soubise.
